Terms of Service
Last updated: August 20, 2026
1. What TaxAppealAgent is (and isn't)
TaxAppealAgent is an automated software tool designed to help property owners and managers analyze property tax assessments using publicly available third-party market data, and generate draft appeal documents.
TaxAppealAgent is NOT a law firm, does not employ licensed attorneys, and does not provide legal advice or legal representation.
You are entirely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and submitting your own appeal package, and for verifying all comparable sales data before filing your protest with your county appraisal district.
2. Your account responsibilities
- You must provide accurate and verifiable account information during signup and billing registration.
- You are solely responsible for the validity of property details you input (owner names, parcel IDs, and assessed values).
- You must not share your account login credentials with external entities beyond your plan's permitted team seats.
3. Subscription and billing
- All subscriptions, single-packet purchases, and API top-ups are processed securely through Paddle, our authorized payment processor and Merchant of Record.
- You can cancel your recurring subscription (such as the annual Protection Plan) at any time. When you cancel, auto-renewal for the next billing period is turned off, and your access remains active for the full remainder of your current paid billing period (e.g. the full 1-year duration).
- Subscription cancellations do not trigger partial or pro-rated refunds for the remaining time in an active billing period.
- For any billing assistance, account questions, or support inquiries, our dedicated support team is available at support@taxappealagent.com.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the service to input false or deliberately fabricated property records.
- Do not attempt to scrape the application, bypass limits, or use automated systems to generate reports.
- Do not generate appeal documents for properties where you do not have owner authorization or manage the property.
5. Reviews, testimonials and the review discount
After your first order we may invite you to leave a review, including a short video. This is entirely optional. Declining has no effect on the service you receive, and you can decline permanently.
- What you permit us to do. When you tick the consent box and submit a review, you grant TaxAppealAgent a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, trim for length or clarity, and publish that review — including any video or photo — on this website, on our YouTube channel, on our social media accounts, and in our marketing material, alongside the first name you supplied and the service you purchased. We will not alter what you said or present it out of context.
- What you confirm when you submit. That you are the person appearing in the video, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you have the right to grant the licence above — meaning the recording does not feature other identifiable people, third-party music, or any other material you do not have permission to share.
- Without consent, nothing is published. If you do not tick the box, your review is used internally only. Our systems will not release the video at all in that case.
- We may decline to publish. Every submission is reviewed first, and we are not obliged to publish any of them. If we decline, or if we later take a review down, you keep the discount.
- Withdrawing permission. Email us and we will remove the review and delete the file, including from our own YouTube and social accounts. We cannot recall copies that other people downloaded or re-shared while it was public. Withdrawing does not reverse a discount you have already used or been given.
The discount, precisely:
- 20% off one later order, granted for a video review. Written reviews are welcome and may be published, but do not earn the discount.
- One per account, ever — not per review and not recurring.
- Valid for 90 days from the day it is granted, and applied automatically at checkout. There is no code to enter.
- It applies to one-time services only, not to the Partner membership or its renewals.
- It cannot be combined with the Partner discount. If you hold both, the larger one is applied and your review discount stays unused for a later order.
- It has no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be paid out.
6. Disclaimer of legal advice and accuracy
All appeal letters, comparable sales tables, and tax estimates generated by TaxAppealAgent are AI-assisted draft templates. Estimates derived from automated valuation models (AVM) carry normal real estate data variance. TaxAppealAgent does not guarantee any specific appeal outcome, property tax reduction, or the absolute correctness of RentCast or county assessor public records. We recommend consulting a licensed tax attorney or professional for complex cases.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxAppealAgent's liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 3 months. We are not liable for the results of your property tax protest filings, decisions made by local county appraisal boards, or inaccuracies in third-party databases.
8. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms of service. Continued use of the platform after updates are made constitutes acceptance of those changes. Subscribers will be notified of material changes via email.
9. Governing law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any legal action arising from these terms shall be settled in the courts of Delaware.
